Marv Says: Not on our original list, The Rail is a new concert venue on the west side of Down Town SLC. It’s tucked back by the railroad tracks and seems to be a straight concert venue. I went to see Primus with Gogol Bordello play, so decided to call this a review. Drinking wise, it’s typical concert fair. Nothing special, just things you can shout to the bartender over the blare of the speakers. The venue holds probably close to 1000 people, so be ready to have toes trod on while watching a show. The sound guy was not on his A-Game that night which was a disappointment. The beer was cold, though, and they had Cutthroat. I’ll go back for gigs, but it’s never going to be a drinking haven.
